Glasgow: As your guide drives you through Scotland’s biggest city on the way to the Drygate brewery, enjoy hearing about this once industrial giant that has now become one of the most fashionable, cultural and progressive cities in the UK.
Drygate Brewery: The first stop of the day is to learn about the emerging world of craft beer that is currently taking the younger generations of the UK by storm. The Drygate Brewing Co. has been lovingly producing local craft beer since 2014. They will happily tell you all about the process, show you the microbrewery and grant you a chance to sample some of their beer which is included in your ticket price.
Glengoyne Distillery: After the modern and trendy Drygate Brewery, our guide will drive you from the heart of Glasgow out to the gentle countryside surrounding the Glengoyne Distillery. Whisky has long been recognised by the world as one of Scotland’s most celebrated tipples. The staff at the distillery will greet you with a ‘dram’ of whisky and will then proudly take you on a tour of the laborious, but rewarding, process involved in making a world class whisky. You will be offered another taste of whisky at the conclusion of the tour so that you may enjoy it even more now that you know the love and care that has gone into it. Both whisky samples are included in your ticket price.
Loch Lomond Shores: Unwind from a day of touring with the expansive retail experience that is Loch Lomond Shores. Enjoy some free time to shop, eat, enjoy a unique activity or maybe even join a 50 minute boat cruise out onto Loch Lomond (additional cost).
Return to Edinburgh: After we have tired you out with shopping and quenched your thirst with beer and whisky, it is time to return to Edinburgh. On the way back, why not look online to see if the brewery or distillery can deliver a bottle or two to your home? You should arrive back in Edinburgh for approximately 18.00.
